🎵 Toss a coin to your mother or maternal figure (I’ll see myself out now). This week’s prompts from Heather over at Just Geeking By focus on families in honor of Mother’s Day. Links of note will be listed under Further Reading.
Who is your favourite fictional family?
I’m finally current on Bob’s Burgers. I still can’t get over Sterling Archer leading a double life as a beleaguered family restaurant chef.

Who is your favourite fictional unconventional family?
The entire clan of Meet the Robinsons.

Best mom award. 🏆
Which off-screen/non-played family member would you like to learn more about?

Miriam’s parents in Wandersong. I want to know more about this witch family. Were they overly supportive to the point where Miriam ran away? Are they dead? Do they just not care? So many questions, so few answers! Also, Wandersong is amazing and you should definitely play it.
Who is/are your favourite fictional grandparent/s?
Clarisse Renaldi and later Joe from The Princess Diaries. I guess that would make him a step-grandfather technically. Theirs was the most satisfying romance arc resolution of the early aughts.
What extended fictional family/legacy is your favourite?
Ooo, either the Winchester or Belmont legacies. Monster-hunting as a genre holds a special place in my heart. It’s a bit misplaced on my part because I could never imagine doing it myself, I’m very much the homebody sort.

Take the main character from your last 5 shows/movies/games/books (etc.) and create a family with them.
Zelda – The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (I know she’s not actually the focus of the show. She’s my favorite anyway, even though I flail around going “ÉOWYN, NO” whenever she’s onscreen.)
James Stone – The Andromeda Evolution
Zinnia – The Warehouse
Isabelle – Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Umetarou Nozaki – Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun
Here we have two stupidly smart STEM professionals, a satanic witch aunt, a precious anthropomorphic dog, and a manga artist frantically trying to make sense of it all in a romantic shoujo. In this alternate universe it would more than likely be a slice of life manga instead. I’d watch that anime adaptation.

The Winchester family legacy is such an awesome one especially when you then tie in the angels too. It’s massively complicated and it’s brilliant. The flash-back episode with their mum and dad as young adults was amazing.
Oh that family sounds like an absolute hoot! *cackles* I read through your description and my grin got bigger with every word. Brilliant, just brilliant.
